FUND-RAISING - BINGO LOTTERY

I want to appeal to everyone who is associated with this great Cricket Club. Players, Officials, Supporters, Parents, Helpers, Tea Ladies, Wives, Girlfriends and Children alike. We all need to work together to continue to take our club forward. Unfortunately not enough is done at our club to raise money, the facilities that we see and take for granted do not run for free, electricity, water and insurance bills have to be paid throughout the year and as the club grows and expands, this is going to put greater strain on fund-raising. So we all need to act now. In the past, whenever fund-raising has been mentioned – the odd Steak and Strawberry night or race night aside – people tend to look to others to do something – We are aware that weekends are popular at the club, but the cricket club only gets a small percentage of any bar takings and we all need to help our club continue to grow by attending events or even helping or taking the initiative to organise events One of the ways that you can help is by joining the Bingo Lottery Game, this fund-raiser has run for a number of years now in one form or fashion, with varying numbers of people playing. It involves as many people as possible each paying a pound a week, every week for the season (20 weeks by standing order into club funds, or by paying in advance by cheque/cash debit card (£20). In return for this, you pick 6 numbers from 1-49 and every Saturday (starting 18th April 08)) if any of those numbers are drawn in the main lotto draw (not including bonus ball) they are crossed off your line. When someone crosses off all their numbers they win the jackpot amount. (This amount will depend on how many people have entered the Lottery Bingo and will be communicated via the website and at the clubhouse when known) You can of course contribute more than a pound a week and have additional lines, and additionally, your Gran/Auntie/Cat/Dog might quite fancy contributing. Once the winnings are paid out, everything raised will be ploughed back into the club, in the form of improved playing facilities, equipment, décor and surroundings. This is a really easy way of raising funds and no-one realistically will miss one pound a week. I hope you will support the club in this initiative – all numbers and money will need to be given to Francesca or any member of the committee by the 18th April. Please help to support YOUR cricket Club and play the Bingo Lottery
