Sunday 24th August

No Sunday game this weekend. Last weekend the Sunday side took the journey to Balderton, however 5 minutes away from the ground a phone call was received to say the game was off due to an unfit wicket, the prospect of spending a whole Sunday with the other half was probably a bit to much for Jim, seeing as he had spent the last week with her in Norfolk, and so he told the lads to carry on the journey and that we would have a look at the wicket! Although it was a bit damp it was definitely playable and so the lads got their whites on and on winning the toss, out they went to bowl. Pap bowled Balderton out for 86 and as tea wasn’t ready, the captains decided to carry on and stop for tea after 10 overs…. It looked an easy target to reach but we didn’t make it easy for ourselves only one player (Richard Winton) scored double figures and thankfully he went on to score 62! The game was won in 28 overs but we lost 8 wickets getting there!
