This Weekends fun packed Games...
This Weekends Games
Come and show your support for the players with the games this weekend!
Saturday 7th June
1st XI are away to the top of the table Caythorpe. This will be a great game with 3rd place playing 1st. Last week the 1st XI got a winning draw against Mansfield Hosiery Mills, after not being able to get that final last wicket, lets hope there is fire in their bellies this weekend!!
2nd XI are at home (Papplewick Ground) to Caythorpe’s 2nd XI. Last week the 2nd XI also got a winning draw against MHM 2nd XI. Well done to Rohan for his half century, things are quiet close in Division 1 and a win this coming weekend could move the 2nd XI into 3rd place.
3rd XI are away to Everton’s 2nd XI, the 3rd XI continued their winning ways after a very close game with Blyth last weekend, the 3rd XI are still top of Division 6, but only by 1 point.
Sunday 8th June
There is an abundance of cricket on Sunday, Sunday morning at pap is Kwik Cricket with 6 teams of juniors taking part and our very own Bishers and Bashers will be playing. Kev Rostance will be in the kitchen selling bacon cobs and tea/coffee. So why not get yourself down and cheer on the juniors.
You can then stay around to watch the 1st XI at home to Alfreton in the Derbyshire Cup, I am on tea duty this sunday (thanks Jim!) and so can guarantee, that Jims favourite food in a cricket tea will be on the table (you would know what that was if you have checked out “in the Spotlight” on the website! )
If you are closer to the Gedling area then why not go watch the Sunday XI who are away to Gedling in the Newark Alliance. Wako (Sunday team Captain) is actually a couple of players short for the Sunday team due to the other game taking place and the unavailability of others and so if you are available then please talk to Wako or get in contact with me and I will put you in contact with him.
